Okay, since Satsu is pestering me, here's a quick report from the Swedish Kotei - minimal style:
All the rumors about Sweden are mostly true. Indeed, it's full of hot women that walk around freely. Hitting on them is not as easy as the internet will have you believe:) More important facts:
a) Robert makes a mean BBQ.
b) German rum while partially gay, kinda hurts the brain in large quantities
c) Ivan is wise, as scary as that might seem
d) Never ever get trapped on a double bed with Macfrenzy.
e) Bars close at 11 when it's not Saturday (no wonder the suicide rate is through the roof)
f) Burger King rules.
Gameplay wise, it wasn't anything to write home about. Since about 4 other guys (from the expected 20) were going to play ninja on the event I decided to give the experience a skip, cause I dreaded the possibility of a mirror match with Evil Toby and the hangover from hell. So, after some speculation (i.e. put hand in bag, grab random deck) I went with Ronnies (Reese Oni bollock), with a slight twist.
I lost the first game to Lion due to an unlucky draw (I had him at -16 and I had 3 provinces, managed to draw 2xReinforce the Gates, 1xSettiling and 2xOuter Walls in 2 turns :/)
I lost the second game to a 7-fold palace magistrate deck that run 3xAcrobats, 3xShrines and a truckload of magistrates (too many to control). We played about 40 minutes, was touch and go until some point, but then it went downhill.
Ate Crab alive without breaking a sweat. Run over Mantis that paid very dearly for his 2 turn Naizen. Got a decent fate draw again Lion and triumphed. Lost to Dragon TKM mags cause my Jutsushi's arrived when it was too late, but otherwise a close game.
Overall great fun, the usual bunch of great people and small rivers of alchohol to gulp.
